VW Scirocco Brochure Is Fake

Belgian Autoscoops.eu disproved the leaked VW Scirocco brochure. They have dug into their archives and used their collective minds on the forum.

As it turns out now, the lay-out has been taken from the Volkswagen Eos brochure. Some photoshopping added to the idea that this might be the new and much anticipated VW Scirocco. But a closer look unveils the truth, the front page headlight is taken directly from a VW Iroc Concept press photo. The interior is from said Eos brochure with a again different headlight photoshopped into the left box, the second left box shows the new VW Passat CC wheel, and the electric window controls show four buttons for a two-door coupe!

Congratulations to Autoscoops.eu for their keen eyes and vigilence. Well, we have to wait until the Geneva show starts to see the Scirocco.

New VW Scirocco Brochure Surfaces

Creating a new car means that all the materials need to be created, too. And some material of Volkswagen's new Scirocco coupe leaked.

They're likely shooting pictures of some preproduction model and ordinary things like owner's manuals need to get done so they can be tucked into gloveboxes. Tnahks to some quick thinking with a digital camera we can see some closeups of a Scirocco's instruction booklet, which coincidentally carries closeups of an uncamoflaged Scirocco.

The shots are small, out of focus, and not informative. But they give us at least a look before the car debuts. You can see the final shape of the headlamp and some muddy images of the interior (which carries similar design cues to other VW models) and details like the rims, HVAC controls, and switchgear.

Scans Aplenty Of 2009 Subaru Forester

There are some new scans showing the '09 Forester in a variety of trim levels on the net. It's bigger in every dimension and got a more traditional SUV look to it.

The two launch engines in Japan will be a NA 2.0 boxer with 148 hp and 140 lb-ft of torque and a turbocharged version generating 230 horsepower and 234 lb-ft. Also revealed is news that seven JDM trim levels will be offered -- four with normally-aspirated engines and three with the turbo mill.
We'll bring to you real photos and info when it all becomes officially official later this month.

Leaked: 2009 Subaru Forester Brochure

After the unconfirmed sketch of the new Subaru Forester, which hit the web a couple week ago, now some 2009 Subaru Forester brochure scans have just found their ways onto web.

It appears like that sketch is very close to the actual car that Subaru eventually unveils. The new Forester carries a grille similar to the Tribeca's and it looks like there's a radical design departure for Subie's little CUV.
