New Ford Ka Leaks Out

The Ford Ka is on the market for 12 years, and it's exactly the time for Ford to change it with a successor. The first pictures of the new Ka have surfaced net-wide reveal the all new model.

The new Ka shares its underpinnings with the Fiat's successful 500 including its engine range. Petrol engines range from an entry level 69 bhp 1.2-litre along with a 100 bhp 1.4-litre, and a 1.3-litre Multijet diesel option is available too. The Ford Europe also states we can expect to see a ST version as well powered by the same 135bhp 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine found in the Fiat 500 Abarth, although power is said to be slightly boosted up to 150 bhp for the Ford version.

Following its debut at the Paris Motor Show in September, it is expected to see a 2+2 convertible version further down the line and even a hybrid version. Pricing should start at around £7500(€9500,€14775) raising to £12,000 (€1500,$23640) for the ST.

Leaked: Opel Meriva Concept Pictures

After the first sketch that surfaced and a leaked teaser image last week, more Opel Meriva concept pictures leaked to internet. These pictures are first unofficial images of the Meriva concept.

The minivan doesn't have a ground breaking design with its regular profile and Corsa-like front end. The most important show piece of the concept is its FlexDoors; essentially rear-hinged suicide doors for back seat passengers.

We've to wait just a week for the official unveiling of the concept in Geneva.

More Volvo XC60 Pictures

We showed you yesterday the first leaked images of the Volvo XC60 SUV, which will debut next month at the Geneva Motor Show. Today some new images of the SUV leaked onto internet.

Carscoop, who found the images around the internet today, claims to know a few more details about the XC60, including that it will get a turbocharged 3.0L V6 in Europe producing 285 horsepower, as well as a 2.4L turbo-diesel making either 163 hp or 185 hp.

We have previously reported that Volvo will be revealing the production version of its XC60 SUV at Geneva Motor Show next month. It was highly rumored that Volvo will be releasing the official images and press release of the SUV on February 20th, but it appears that the images have found their ways onto internet.

The Volvo XC60 Concept was first shown at the 2007 Detroit Motor Show, and in the past months various test mules were caught which gave us a good preview of the production version. The leaked images reveal that Volvo's new SUV stays as close as possible true to the concept, except for some missing curves on the side profile. No technical details were found anywhere, but BMW X3 rival is planned to go on sale during the second half of 2008.
