Hyundai is bringing a refreshed Sonata to Chicago with a new look, a better interior and new powertrains. With the 2009 Sonata Hyundai wants to be able to compete with the juggernauts of the the mid-size sedan segment.
The 2009 Hyundai Sonata comes with a choice of two revised engines that sport more power and fuel economy to rival the sedan's most important rivals. The base Theta 2.4-cylinder inline-four makes now 175 horsepower and 169 lb.-ft. of torque with a new five-speed automatic. The 3.3-liter V6 is now making 249 hp and 229 lb.-ft. of torque.
The exterior revisions are simple, with a new front bumper, grille, lights and wheels and more chrome everywhere. Inside there's a completely revised interior that's much better than before and is even available with an optional sat nav, a first for the Sonata.
