Officially Unveiled: Subaru Exiga Photos

Japan is a MPV heaven. Unlike US there are a lot of 7-seaters in Japan. And today a new car has added those. The Subaru Exiga 7-seater went on sale in Japan.

The Exiga's power comes from a naturally-aspirated 2.0L engine which outputs 146 hp. The sportier GT model with intercooler and turbocharger makes 221 hp. Passengers are treated to a huge panoramic roof.

There are some wagon lovers in other countries too. Especially in the US. But there's no word in the press release that Subaru will bring the Exiga to USA.

Spy Shots: Nissan Qashqai Long Wheelbase

Long wheelbase version of the Nissan Qashqai was spotted during winter testing and so we get the clearest pictures of Nissan’s Qashqai 7 seater to date. The Qashqai, which is known as the Dualis in some markets, has been a big success for the company since its launch in early 2007. Nissan has sold over 130,000 units in Europe alone and the production in its Sunderland plant was increased due to large demand.

To appeal the car's big success even further, Nissan is hurriedly preparing this seven seater model seen in the pictures doing some cold test work. The 7 seater should be available with most of the powerplant offerings that the 5 seater provides: A choice of 1.6 and 2.0L gasoline engines, 1.5 and 2.0 diesel engines and the option of 2 or 4 wheel drive.

The vehicle is expected to launch for European market some time this year.
