Facelifted Subaru Legacy Rendering

Japanese CarTop magazine released some renderings which show the possible facelifted Subaru Legacy.

These renderings show how the new Legacy will look like. Most notably changes of the facelifted Legacy are the new headlights and redesigned grille.

If this rendering, which CarTop released, really shows the new Legacy, well there's still so much to do because the car looks still old even with the second facelift.

Geneva 2008 Preview: Alfa Romeo To Debut Updated Brera And Spider

While Alfa Romeo has disappointed its fans with the push back of the possible Junior debut, the Italian automaker still has some gorgeous cars to show next week in Geneva. Next week Alfa Romeo will be unveiling updated versions of the Brera and Spider models.

These cars already look awesome, so Alfa hasn't messed with the award-winning design to any great extent. The wheels, brake calipers and suspension components have been replaced with lighter-weight aluminum versions, which should help address the cars' lamentably underwhelming performance relative to its design by taking a chunk out of its unsprung weight. The subtle changes continue inside, where redesigned seats offer a sportier and more ergonomic driving position. The dashboard has been updated as well to integrate a new dual-zone climate control system and a new sat-nav unit.

A new 185hp 2.2-liter four joins the 260hp 3.2-liter six and 210hp 2.4-liter JTDM turbodiesel, mated to a variety of six-speed transmissions.

Geneva 2008 Preview: Facelifted Alfa Romeo 159

Alfa Romeo has announced that it will be bringing its 159 sedan and wagon to Geneva, with minor physical, mechanical and technical changes.

Exterior changes will include three new colours which are Ice White, Crystal Blue and Grey indigo, and a new range of 16 and 17 inch alloy wheels. Interior changes will include the new titanium color trim, a new multifunctional display, and new controls for the dual-zone climate control.

Apart from the design changes, new engine options are also available. Buyers will be able to select between the 140 hp 1.8 litre and 185 hp 2.2 litre petrol engines and two new 1.9 litre turbo-diesel engines that produce 120 and 150 hp. The current 2.4 litre JTDM diesel engine still remains. Alfa is also offering a 260 hp 3.2 V6 front-wheel-drive model this time around. Other standard features would include the gearbox, which can be selected between the automatic 6-speed, automatic Q-Tronic, and the sequential self-shifting Selespeed.

Besides the above changes, Alfa has also decided to throw in its Q2 torque splitting system which helps the car to stay extremely stable under any road and driving conditions. Additionally, almost 45 kilograms have been slashed off the car’s total weight by the use of lighter alloy wheels, aluminum suspension pieces, and aluminum mono-block brake calipers.

Spy Shots: Toyota Yaris Facelift

Toyota engineers have been quietly working on a minor facelift for the Japanese automaker's successful Yaris small car. Today the new Toyota Yaris caught on the road for the first time by Worldcarfans photographers. The test mule was almost undisguised. The current Toyota Yaris has been on European roads since late 2005, so it's time for a mid-cycle refresh.

The changes are so minor that no masking needed. The front grille is updated with newly shaped air-intakes and a smaller grille than the current version. The rear features newly laid out taillights, while the overall shape remains the same.

Some minor alterations to the engines on offere are also expecting, mainly to improve fuel efficiency.

Porsche 911 Turbo Facelift Almost Undisguised

Some photos of the next generation Porsche 911 Turbo have surfaced, this time the revised German storm spotted in winter testing. The largely unchanged, Cayman-inspired sloped nose and menacing black wheels are almost familiar to the spy cameras by now, but the snow dusting the black prototype highlights the redesigned rear bumper's exhaust outlets and air vents. These pictures also give us our first good look at the new LED foglight and taillamp arrays.

The revised 911 Turbo is expected to arrive for the 2009 model year, just in time to face off against the new Nissan GT-R.

Facelifted Ford Focus Coupe-Cabriolet Revealed

Facelifted Ford Focus Coupe-Cabriolet revealed before its public debut at the Geneva Auto Show. Featuring a Pininfarina retractable hardtop, the new model offers best in class Coupe-Cabriolet luggage compartment accommodations.

Using the same “Kinetic” front end as the recently introduced Focus sedan and coupe, the convertible offers high emotional appeal combined with daily driver usability. Some new options will be offered such as keyless start, tire deflation detection system, improved audio systems which provide support for Bluetooth and USB connectivity, and multiple navigation systems.

Power comes from a host of engines, a 1.6L 100PS (74 kW), 2.0L 145 PS (107 kW), and a 2.0L diesel 136 PS (100 kW) with a maximum torque rating of 320 Nm. A Sport package will be available and includes a retuned suspension, special 17” alloy wheels, and tinted headlights.

Chicago 2008 Preview: 2009 Mitsubishi Galant

The refreshed Mitsubishi Galant sedan will be officially unveiled the at the Chicago Auto Show next week. But we can see what changes for the mid-size four-door before its public debut.

There's nothing ground breaking. The front end has now a clear design. The wide, chrome-framed grille and smoother lines offer a more mature look. New hood gets some sharp creases and the lower intake has been changed and features new fog lights on either side. The biggest changes are at the back. New rear taillights and a slight change in the rear fenders' shape. According to Mitsubishi the interior had been updated too.

A four-cylinder or V6 power is available. There are two V6 this year; the familiar 258-horse 3.8 liter is available in the Ralliart, and it's detuned to 230 horsepower for the new Sport V6 model. A four-speed automatic transmission is standard with the four-cylinder, while V6 cars get a five-speed.

Video: European Mazda 5 Facelift

The Mazda 5 compact multi-activity vehicle is on sale in Europe since 2005. With over 275,000 units produced, it's Mazda's third best selling car.

The front bumper and rear bumper design has been refreshed, just like the front and rear light. Inside there are two new black trim packages available with either titanium-look or black center panel, while a new black leather upholstery is also available as an option starting this year.

The MZR 2.0 liter engine has been thoroughly revised and now produces 146 hp (107 kW) at 6,500 rpm with 185 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, 500 rpm lower than the pre-revised version. The new MZR 2.0 liter petrol engine can now be coupled to a five-speed automatic transmission.

Alongside the MZR 2.0 liter engine is the MZR 1.8 liter version producing 115 hp, the MZR-CD 2.0 liter diesel with 110 hp and a High-Power version MZR-CD 2.0 liter diesel with 143 hp.

Spy Shots: Lincoln MKZ Facelift

It looks like the split-wing grille will be an identical design element on the future Lincoln cars. Along the MKR and MKT concepts and MKS sedan spy shots show that the facelifted MKZ gets new design element too.

Despite the heavy camouflage on the front of this test vehicle, the familiar vertical slats of the brand's split-wing grille can be seen. And according the spy photographers, the camouflage on the rear of the vehicle is also obscuring new taillights.

The Lincoln MKZ is a fine car already but a nose job could help the car increasing its sales.

Facelift: Nissan Note

The Nissan Note has been on the market for three years now and it is time for a little make up. The new Nissan Note has a revised exterior, enhanced interior and the line-up has been extended with the sporty Note 15RS.

The Exterior features a new front fascia with new headlights, hood, grille and bumper while the rear remains the same. Inside you will find new instrument panel styling, water-repellent seat fabric and a choice of three interior colours. Exterior body colours include three new options, Titanium Pearl Metallic Blue Turquoise, Titanium Metallic Frosty Green and Pearl Metallic Amethyst Gray.

The Nissan Note is powered by the HR15DE 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with either 2WD or 4WD, both are well below the new JC08 fuel economy and exhaust emission test mode.

Officially Unveiled: 2009 Mercedes SLK

The German automaker has officially unveiled the 2009 Mercedes-Benz SLK. The tweaks to the SLK's front end bring it even more in line with the style of an F1 car's nose, while the rear actually gets a cleaner, smoother look with a faux diffuser affixed between the trapezoidal tailpipes. In addition to exterior enhancements, the 2009 model also gets an updated interior with an instrument panel design a new three-spoke steering wheel.

Two new heavily revised engines join the familiar 5.5L V8 of the AMG model that carries over, including a revised kompressor (supercharged) four-cylinder producing 184 hp/184 lb.-ft of torque and a new 3.5L V6 producing a healthy 305 hp/265 lb.-ft of torque. Both engines also get better fuel economy and emit less CO2 than their predecessor

While a five-speed automatic and six-speed manual are available, the 7G-TRONIC Sport seven-speed automatic could be possible.

Facelifted Mercedes SL Caught At Photo Shoot

The current Mercedes-Benz SL is in the market in many years and spy shots of a freshened model have been found their ways to internet several months ago.

The facelifted Mercedes SL has been snapped during a shoot on location in Dubai. That means it's only a matter of time before its official debut. Most of the car looks pretty much unchanged, with the most of the action taking place at the nose. -Continued after the jump...

The grille has a sharper vertical crease similar to the new C-Class. The vents ahead of the front wheels and the wheels themselves indicate this is probably the latest AMG variant. Expect few changes at the rear bar new LED lamps, a revised bumper design and a minor exhaust pipe update.

Engines are likely to remain the same as the present SL, although rumours suggest a 354 hp replacement engine for the SL350. The SL will surface at Geneva and hit the market at the end of 2008.

Leaked: Ford Focus Wagon

The pictures of the facelifted Ford Focus ST hit the web last week. The facelifted Focus hits showrooms from January and will be followed by a refreshed station wagon version. The front of the car adopts the facelifted Focus' fresh new face, while the rear hatch remains unchanged from the previous generation.

The engine line-up will consist of three petrol units - a 100 hp 1.6-litre, 125 hp 1.8-litre and 140 hp 2.0-litre. Three turbodiesel TDCi drivetrains will be available in the range from the 90 and 110 hp 1.6-litre units to 115 and 130 hp 1.8-litre TDCis.

Sporty ST and Coupe-Cabriolet versions will due early summer 2008.

Jaguar Unveils Facelifted 2009 X-Type

Jaguar has unveiled a freshened X-Type sedan and wagon for the '09. On sale in the UK in March and other European markets in April, the car boasts around 500 changes inside and out. The styling has been updated to better emulate the XJ sedan, adopting a similar grille with the "growler" cat badge. The area below the front bumper has been cleaned up and likewise, the rear end has been modified with the addition of the full-width metallic strip and a new typeface used for the X-Type name badging. The instrument cluster has been modernized and new trim elements are available.
